The Cryptomining boom may have dwindled down a bit but it is still here to stay when more and more manufacturers continue to release mining-oriented hardware. While ASRock and BIOSTAR seem to have been the only players that were doing research and development in producing mining-oriented motherboards, ASUS will soon be joining the mining motherboard race with the ASUS B250 Mining Expert motherboard with its features 16-GPU support for cryptocurrency mining.

Aside from its 16-GPU support for mining, the ASUS B250 Mining Expert motherboard features three 24-pin power connectors. As to what it is for, there’s no information released yet about the motherboard and its specific features. Can the ASUS B250 Mining Expert offer the best mining configuration? Given its layout, it could be a watt-eating cryptomining motherboard. Hybrid mining support yet to be confirmed by ASUS.

ASUS and Crypto Mining

Early June this year, ASUS release two graphics cards under the Mining Series, the ASUS Mining RX 470 and Mining P106, which are mining-oriented graphics cards featuring improved durability, reduced output ports to lower the production cost and ultimately have a better price-performance ratio for miners. With the existence of miners as the new market for PC hardware today, ASUS would establish itself as an active player in the mining market with the ASUS B250 Mining Expert motherboard. No pricing and official release date on the ASUS B250 Mining Expert motherboard.
