In recent years Streaming has progressed from a hobby into a fully-fledged career path, with thousands sharing their time gaming, out and about, or just chatting. Getting started however can be a daunting process, so AV specialists AVerMedia have assembled a new affordable kit of components that takes the guess-work out of an initial setup and eases you into the new pastime.

The AVerMedia Live Streamer 311 kit focuses on gameplay streaming as your avenue to success. In incorporates three core components: the AM310 USB Microphone, Live Gamer MINI and Live Streamer CAM 313.

Live Gamer MINI – GC311

The Live Gamer MINI is a discrete USB capture card for game streaming that strips things down to fundamentals. Truly plug-in-play for Windows systems, it comes with HDMI in/out and micro-USB connector for PC connectivity with no additional drivers necessary. It captures in 1080p60 and incorporates AVerMedia's StreamEngine and CamEngine with plug-in support for third-party streaming software.

AM310 USB Microphone

The AM310 is a unidirectional USB microphone that requires no additional amplifier hardware for solid audio quality. The microphone is sensitive directly in front, and so will minimise the pickup of ambient sound without requiring additional revisions to your streaming studio.

Live Streamer CAM 313

The Live Steamer CAM 313 captures at 1080p, letting streamers and content creators always show their best side to their audience. An integrated sliding privacy shutter should also mean that no one can peek on the streamer unless they want them to.

By using a discrete USB capture solution CPU load is kept to a minimum, reducing the performance requirements of your streaming PC. The GC311 Live Gamer MINI is also one of the smallest encoders ever released and so is exceptionally convenient if you maintain an efficient use of desk space.

Those who want to build a more idiosyncratic brand can take advantage of CamEngine, software which includes pre-configured filters and face tracking stickers alongside core functionality such as colour-correction.

The final piece of the puzzle is AVerMedia's RECentral, software that serves as a hub through which content can be configured and, if desired, output to multiple streaming platforms simultaneously.

AVerMedia's Live Streamer 311 (BO311) is available today for £219.99 inc. V.A.T. from Amazon UK, Overclockers UK and SCAN.co.uk.
