AverMedia today announces the launch of Live Streamer, a new mobile streaming app, and new feature updates to its PC-based Streaming Center software. These updates together expand AVerMedia’s creator ecosystem across mobile and PC workflows.
Developed to complement the X’TRA GO GC515 and AverMedia ELITE GO GC313Pro capture devices, Live Streamer is a lightweight solution for creators who want mobile streaming flexibility without replacing their existing PC-based workflows. Designed for travel, hotel stays, and on-the-go content creation, the app allows creators to stream directly from their mobile devices, removing the need to carry a laptop.
Available on iPadOS and Android, Live Streamer turns tablets and smartphones into portable creator hubs for playing, recording, and streaming. The app supports dual-video picture-in-picture (PiP) layouts and dual-audio mixing, allowing gameplay and commentary to be presented together. When paired with the Live Streamer Link app, a smartphone can also function as a wireless microphone, sending audio back to an iPad without additional hardware.
This setup mirrors real-world streaming scenarios. A common use case involves connecting a Nintendo Switch 2 to the ELITE GO GC313Pro in a hotel room, displaying gameplay on a TV, while an iPad running Live Streamer manages the livestream, creating a simple yet capable mobile streaming setup.
By integrating Live Streamer with its GO Series devices, AVerMedia continues to expand its flexible content creation ecosystem, giving creators the option to switch between desktop and lightweight mobile workflows without sacrificing essential streaming features.
Expanding the Creator Ecosystem Across Mobile and PC
Alongside its mobile offerings, AVerMedia is also enhancing its PC-based Streaming Center software. Recent updates add RTX Video Super Resolution for AI-based video upscaling, along with AV1 encoding support to deliver high-quality video with improved compression efficiency on compatible hardware.
Together, the Live Streamer App and Streaming Center provide a unified ecosystem spanning mobile and PC workflows, enabling creators to move seamlessly between environments while maintaining consistent quality and control.
