Benchmark specialists Basemark are preparing for a major update to their GPU performance analysis tool set to go live on November 27th. Basemark GPU 1.1 will be adding support for Microsoft's DirectX 12 API in Windows 10, joining the current Vulkan 1.0, OpenGL 4.5 and OpenGL ES 3.1 rendering options already available in the utility.

Basemark GPU 1.1 also supports Linux and Android platforms, providing an objective measure of graphics performance with a wide range of GPU hardware options. The benchmark is designed to be platform agnostic, and so offers a direct rather than inferred comparison between computing platforms.

Both free and paid-for versions of Basemark GPU are available at https://www.basemark.com/products/basemark-gpu/, where you can also find additional information on the utility and compatible platforms.
