If you haven't had a chance to try Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 this weekend is your chance to do just that at no cost. Released back in November originally and proving immensely popular at the time, Activision - via Steam - are making the multiplayer portion of CoD:MW3 free to play for a limited time.
Though the F2P switch won't be till 10am PDT/6pm GMT tomorrow (Thursday 26th April), Steam will allow you to pre-load the game beforehand via the client so some of the F2P time isn't wasted.
The full game remains quite an investment at £39.99 (though prices vary), so it pays to try before you buy. Equally the required system specs for 1080p gameplay aren't insignificant, so this weekend will also prove to be a good opportunity to test out whether your system is up to snuff in that regard too.
