The showcase included the debut of the IK inductive switch, a first look at the upcoming MK magnetic switch platform, and the latest entries in the iconic MX mechanical switch family—MX Honey, MX Blossom, and MX Falcon.

These new products highlight CHERRY’s transition from a mechanical switch pioneer to a leader in multi-technology input solutions. Each switch has been developed to meet specific user demands, offering advanced performance, greater efficiency, and expanded customisation options. CHERRY IK

The IK is a next-generation analogue switch built on CHERRY’s patented inductive sensing technology, enabling true contactless actuation through electromagnetic field detection. The result is smooth, consistent performance with no mechanical wear, even after millions of keystrokes.

Engineered for modern efficiency, IK consumes 50% less power than magnetic switches and only 5% of the power used by Hall effect switches, making it ideal for wireless keyboards where battery life is essential.

Unlike Hall switches that rely on magnets and complex sensor arrays, IK features a robust, magnet-free metal-based design for enhanced reliability, analogue precision, and long-term stability. Enhanced RGB lighting, customisable actuation, and ultra-low power usage make it a new benchmark in smart input solutions.

CHERRY MX Honey

The MX Honey is CHERRY’s first silent tactile MX switch, engineered to deliver a satisfying tactile response with reduced noise, making it perfect for offices, shared workspaces, and quiet environments.

As part of the new MX2A family, the MX Honey features CHERRY’s latest mechanical upgrades, including a newly optimized spring and factory-applied premium lubrication, ensuring smoother keystrokes, softer acoustics, and over 100 million keystrokes of durability.

CHERRY MX Blossom

To celebrate its 72nd anniversary, CHERRY introduces its lightest linear mechanical switch ever: the MX Blossom. With an actuation force of just 35 cN, it offers an ultra-light typing experience that sets a new standard in effortless control.

Also part of the MX2A series, the MX Blossom features CHERRY’s latest mechanical improvements, delivering smoother and quieter key presses, ideal for users who prefer speed, responsiveness, and comfort.

CHERRY MX Falcon

CHERRY wraps up its latest switch lineup with the MX Falcon – a community-inspired tactile switch built for heavy typists and enthusiasts who crave bold feedback. Inspired by retro design and the crisp snap of typewriters, it delivers a strong tactile feel with every press.

As CHERRY’s first long-pole stem switch, it offers a sharper bottom-out and richer sound. Its playful, '90s-inspired colourway blends nostalgic design with high-performance precision.

The CHERRY MX Falcon will be ready early June. For consumers, 36-switch kits will be coming shortly after.
