FREMONT, CA — June 14, 2018 - CORSAIR®, a world leader in PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, today announced a major new partnership with Clutch Gaming, a professional esports organization with a team in the North American League of Legends Championship Series. Clutch Gaming is the first venture into the world of esports by Tilman Fertitta, the owner of the Houston Rockets of the NBA, an American basketball team with an enormous international presence and a championship pedigree.

Clutch Gaming, a brand-new team to the NA LCS in 2018, has already tasted success by placing 4th in the 2018 Spring Split, setting them up for a chance to make the 2018 League of Legends World Championship in South Korea. Clutch Gaming is innovating in the esports space by bringing the same empirical, analytics-based performance approach the Rockets use to the world of esports. The ability to analyze player performance beyond the skin-deep views of what public perception allows them to drill deeper into analysis that goes way beyond GPM (Gold per minute) or KDA (Kill/Death/Assist Ratio).

CORSAIR will be equipping Clutch Gaming with CORSAIR keyboards, mice, headsets, mousepads, and CORSAIR ONE PCs. The partnership also extends to product and technology development, with CORSAIR and Clutch Gaming collaborating to revolutionize the impact technology and statistics have on esports competition and working on creating customized solutions for professional esports.
