Cougar impressed us in October of last year with the original Evolution, a Silver and Vortez Approved-award winning full-tower ATX chassis which only lack for stock cooling and a little anti-vibration material on the PSU mounts. The look of the case was certainly one of the more striking of last year, but not in the mould of any just old generic gaming chassis.



Seeking to build on the critical success of the Evolution, Cougar are releasing two new colour variants: the Galaxy and BO editions. The Evolution Galaxy has all-white externals and black innards, lending the case a stark contrast between the interior and exterior. The contrast is highlighted by the large split-window on the left side-panel which amply shows off your kit. The overall effect is just as striking as the original, whilst remaining kitted out with the features you would expect at the price range; those who lust after white chassis would do well to give the Evolution Galaxy a look.



As the name suggests, the Evolution BO mirrors the original Evolution with the exception of orange exterior trim and interior features, i.e. hard drive sleds and toolless 5.25" widgets. It's therefore the first of the Evolution series to utilise elements of the Cougar brand colour-scheme, black and orange being a relatively rare combination in chassis design. Cougar's range of Vortex tool-less and anti-vibration case fans handsomely complement the Evolution BO.
