COUGAR has unveiled the MX600 AIR and MX600 AIR PRO, two airflow-optimised mid-tower cases engineered for builders who demand superior cooling performance and clean aesthetics. Both models share a high-airflow square-perforated front panel, precision-guided internal ramp design, and support for up to 360mm water cooling. However, the MX600 AIR PRO steps up with six pre-installed ARGB PWM fans, a USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 Type-C (10Gbps) port, and enhanced out-of-box cooling, distinguishing it from the standard MX600 AIR’s four pre-installed ARGB fans and dual USB 3.0 front connectivity.
Optimised Airflow Design
The COUGAR MX600 AIR series prioritises cooling efficiency with a square-perforated front panel that delivers an 11% increase in airflow compared to circular perforations. An internal airflow ramp precisely directs air towards critical components, ensuring stable performance even under heavy loads. Both the MX600 AIR and MX600 AIR PRO support up to seven cooling fans, providing maximum flexibility for builders to achieve optimal thermal performance.
Preinstalled Cooling Setup
Out of the box, the MX600 AIR comes equipped with three 140mm ARGB fans at the front and one 120mm ARGB fan at the rear. The MX600 AIR PRO takes things further with six preinstalled ARGB PWM fans — three 140mm at the front, two 140mm at the top, and one 120mm at the rear. Both models support radiators up to 360mm, which can be mounted either at the top or the front to suit individual cooling preferences.
Hardware Compatibility
Built for high-end systems, the MX600 AIR series supports E-ATX motherboards and graphics cards up to 400mm in length. Despite its mid-tower form factor, it offers ample space to accommodate next-generation components, ensuring flexibility and future-proofing for enthusiast builds.
RGB and Cable Management
An integrated universal fan hub provides synchronised RGB lighting control across all connected fans, offering cohesive illumination throughout the system. Cable management is simplified through smart routing channels and concealed wiring, giving the interior a clean, professional appearance that complements its modern design.
Dust Protection and Maintenance
The MX600 AIR and AIR PRO feature a comprehensive triple-filter system, with filters positioned at the front, top, and rear to protect against dust intrusion. The front filter is built directly into the panel and can be removed effortlessly for quick, tool-free cleaning and easy maintenance.
Storage and Connectivity
Both models support flexible storage configurations with space for up to three 2.5-inch SSDs, or a combination of two 2.5-inch SSDs and one 3.5-inch HDD. The MX600 AIR provides dual USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a 4-pole headset jack for everyday use, while the MX600 AIR PRO enhances connectivity with an additional USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 Type-C (10Gbps) port for faster data transfer and broader device compatibility.
