COUGAR has officially unveiled the MX230 RGB, a new airflow-focused mid-tower PC case designed to balance high cooling performance with practical, builder-friendly features. Built around a mesh-heavy structure and an unconventional internal layout, the COUGAR MX230 RGB targets gamers and enthusiasts looking for strong thermal efficiency straight out of the box. The COUGAR MX230 RGB is available in black and white colours.
Positioned as a high airflow chassis, the COUGAR MX230 RGB combines a full metal mesh front panel, preinstalled ARGB fans, and a porous PSU shroud capable of active cooling. COUGAR also places emphasis on ease of maintenance, refined aesthetics, and modern connectivity, making the case well suited for high-end gaming builds and next-generation components.
Key features of the COUGAR MX230 RGB include:
• All-metal front mesh panel that doubles as an integrated dust filter with tool-less removal
• Preinstalled 3 x 120mm ARGB front fans and 1 x 120mm ARGB rear fan
• Porous PSU shroud supporting up to 3 x 120mm fans for vertical bottom-up airflow
• Right-offset PSU cabin to increase usable airflow space inside the chassis
• Perforated, angled base slopes to maximise intake surface area
• Refined top mesh filter with solid rim borders for improved durability and finish
• Support for up to a 360mm AIO radiator mounted at the top
• Maximum fan capacity of up to 10 fans
• Front I/O featuring USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 Type-C (10Gbps) x 1 and USB 3.0 Type-A x 2
• Compatibility with Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, and E-ATX motherboards
• GPU clearance of up to 400mm within a compact mid-tower footprint
• Storage support for 2 x 3.5-inch HDDs or 1+1 2.5-inch SSDs (converted from 3.5-inch bays)
• Built-in ARGB controller with motherboard lighting synchronisation
A standout design element of the COUGAR MX230 RGB is its advanced bottom-up cooling approach. Unlike traditional cases that limit PSU shroud airflow, the MX230 RGB uses a fully ventilated cover capable of housing three fans, creating a vertical thermal column that feeds fresh air directly to key components. Combined with optimised spacing between the motherboard and PSU shroud, this layout helps prevent airflow obstruction from cables and connectors.
COUGAR has also focused on visual refinement, pairing the aggressive mesh design with cleaner finishing touches such as reinforced filter edges and a statuesque angled base. With support for large GPUs, E-ATX motherboards, and extensive cooling hardware, the MX230 RGB positions itself as a future-ready chassis for high-performance gaming systems.
Pricing and regional availability for the COUGAR MX230 RGB have not yet been announced. Learn more about the MX230 RGB chassis at the COUGAR website.
