With the release of Crysis 3 only days away Crytek is already talking about the big plans they have for DLC. But what will this DLC be? Will it be the standard, boring content such as multiplayer skin packs, different guns and maps or will it be something more substantial such as single player campaign content or Co-op etc. CEO Cevat Yerli said this:

We're still exploring that. We have some plans in mind that we can't disclose yet, but we are going to wait a little bit to see how the beta's running and how the game does for the first few days. We do have a big plan to support it.

We've heard all this before but so far Crytek has been dedicated to creating a fantastic PC game with great graphics and proper PC specific options and if the number of beta participants and pre orders is anything to go by, Crytek could have a real winner here. EA annouced that three million gamers had downloaded the multiplayer beta and also that pre-orders for Crysis 3 are 35% higher than Crysis 2's total sales were when it was released back in 2011! Yerli also stated that he believes "people will be astonished that next-gen launch titles from other companies might not be much different" to Crysis 3 in terms of visuals.

All of us here at Vortez are excited about Crysis 3 and it's good to hear that Crytek will be keeping this game alive and interesting for a while to come.
