London, United Kingdom - October 1, 2015 - CyberLink Corp., the world’s leading consumer multimedia software company, has announced a global online event to celebrate its newest milestone – over 600,000 multimedia effects uploaded to DirectorZone, a web-based community and creative resource for video enthusiasts. The DirectorZone 600K Celebration Event gives entrants a chance to win prizes just for flexing their creative muscles.

Participants can enter the event by using CyberLink’s award-winning PowerDirector video editing software to create and submit a Halloween or Christmas themed effect to DirectorZone. Entrants who do not own a copy of PowerDirector can participate by using the free trial version to create their entry. When uploading their effect, participants must add the tag “Christmas” or “Halloween.”

“Reaching 600,000 effects represents not just a significant milestone for DirectorZone, but also for the community of creators that take pride and joy in sharing their works with the world.” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “DirectorZone is an integral part of what makes CyberLink software so user-friendly, and its rapid growth shows how popular it is with media enthusiasts who use it to exchange ideas and improve their skills.”

Winners will be drawn randomly from qualified entries. Among the prizes to be awarded is a GoPro HERO4 Session camera, as well as the latest CyberLink editing software from its Director Suite line. The DirectorZone 600K Celebration Event runs from September 30 through October 29, 2015. Winners will be announced on October 30, 2015 on the event website.
