Cyberpower UK are starting November early with a selection of system offers available through Black Friday at the end of the month. Whether you’re tempted by an impulse purchase or budgeting for a build as November draws to a close, this quartet of configurations are well worth keeping in mind as you're bombarded over the next few weeks.
The selection begins with the Ultra 45 BF01 Gaming PC, the most affordable of the four at £769 inclusive of V.A.T. A highlight of the system is AMD’s Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB, a great mid-range GPU that supports FSR 3 as well as Mesh Shaders, the latest rendering buzzword that's swiftly becoming essential tech. Underpinning the GPU is a Ryzen 5 4500, a current mainstay of budget builds on the AM4 platform, with 16GB DDR4 RAM and A520 chipset motherboard.
Gamers who are looking for a system that will grow with them, with scope for affordable upgrades to CPU and RAM as it ages, will get a lot of mileage from the Ultra 45 BF01. Alternatives exist that are a little more meaty however...
At the opposite end of the deal spectrum are the Infinity X119 BF02 and Infinity X119 BF03, two system configurations with a pretty subtle difference in how they shake out. Both rely on Intel’s 11th Gen Core i9-11900K, an 8-core/16-thread processor that clocks up to 5.3GHz, and 16GB of DDR4 memory on an overclock-supporting Z490, but the variance lies in the choice of GPU.
The X119 BF02 integrates NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070 12GB, powerful hardware that can not only handle ray traced illumination with aplomb but is also compatible with all of NVIDIA’s latest technologies. That includes DLSS 3.5 with Frame Generation, improving gaming experiences by boosting effective frame rates above what would otherwise be possible, and NVIDIA Broadcast, utilising the power of AI to process audio with better clarity and noise reduction than algorithmic efforts alone would allow.
Cyberpower UK’s X119 BF03 swaps out the RTX 4070 in favour of the raw horsepower of AMD’s RX 7900 GRE, a card that is roughly 10% faster across a very wide selection of titles. If frame rates are king and ancillary technologies are only minor conveniences then this option might be the pick for you. Either choice should be great if you expect to game above 60fps at 1080p or 1440p in titles released in the last few years.
Both the Infinity X119 BF02 and BF03 are priced at £1439 inc. V.A.T.
Finally we come to the Infinity X119 BF04, and while the core components are identical to the BF02 and BF03, the step down to a GeForce RTX 3060 12GB is notable enough to give it its own section. The RTX 3060 12GB is an excellent choice that has stood the test of time for 1080p gaming, and it also supports the majority of NVIDIA technologies including DLSS 3 and DLAA. Gamers looking to play at 1440p in older titles should also be well catered to thanks to the 12GB frame buffer, which remains relatively capacious compared to NVIDIA’s more recent 40-series counterpart.
The Infinity X119 BF04 is a considerable step up in affordability with a listing of £1049 inc. V.A.T.
Each of the Black Friday desktop deals also feature Windows 11 pre-installed on a WD Green 1TB SN350 NVMe SSD, which will serve as an excellent boot and gaming drive thanks in part to its exceptional up-to 3200MB/s read speeds. If 1TB is a little tight on space, all of the systems listed have a plethora of I/O options for additional storage and chassis that can easily accommodate more.
Cyberpower UK’s Black Friday sale runs from November 6th to 27th, giving you a chance to consider all your options carefully before taking the plunge. Each will be backed by their Gold warranty policy for desktops, which includes two years 5 years' labour, 2 years' parts and 2 years' Collect and Return. Pricing is also inclusive of delivery.
