EK Water Blocks expands its selection of passive heatsinks for M.2 NVMe Next Generation Form Factor SSDs with more colour options. EKWB first made the heatsinks available only in Black and Nickel. The EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink offers cooling superb cooling for M.2 SSDs lowering its operating temperature by 7 to 30 degrees Celsius. M.2 SSDs when hot can experience performance decrease due to thermal throttling and this is where the EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink comes into play.

Like the EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink Black and Nickel, the new coloured models also feature the same easy-to-install and low-profile form factor. It comes with a pre-installed thermal pad which is easily reusable and aesthetically non-intrusive with a very minimal footprint on the SSD and motherboard. It has a ribbed surface to maximize passive cooling capacity with a simple and sleek design. EK Water Blocks are offering the new EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink in red, blue, green and purple variants. The gold variant will be available within two weeks of time.

The EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink is compatible with single-sided M.2 SSDs in the 2280 form factor (22mm wide, 80mm long). Because the heatsink consists of a front and backplate as well, the compatibility is limited to M.2 (NGFF) connectors of 4.2mm height.
