Good aesthetics is an important aspect in most PC builds be it an entry-level or an enthusiast-level PC with high-end hardware and custom liquid cooling. Today, EKWB introduces the EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink for M.2 NVMe solid state drives which are a staple for high-performance PCs. M.2 NVMe SSDs tend to produce a significant amount of heat on heavy workloads making it vulnerable to thermal throttling that results to performance loss. Most offerings like the Intel Optane M.2 NVMe SSDs only have the bare PCB. The EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink offering an 8° to 11° Celsius improvement on the SSD’s temperatures.

The EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink is an easy-to-install low-profile and reusable heat sink that’s compatible to any single-sided 2280 form factor M.2 SSD. The ribbed heatsink offer efficient passive cooling as well as to provide aesthetics. Its compact design ensures the addition of the heatsink to the M.2 SSD will not interfere with other components except for motherboards with built-in M.2 heatsinks. EK Water Blocks are offering the new EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink in black and nickel variants.

Compatibility

The EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink is compatible with all single sided type 2280 M.2 NVMe SSDs (22mm wide, 80mm long). Because the heatsink consists of a front and backplate as well, the compatibility is limited to M.2 (NGFF) connectors of 4.2mm height (PN 2199230-X M.2 Socket).

Pricing
The EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink is now available for purchase at the EKWB Webstore and at partner resellers worldwide. The Black variant has an MSRP of 9.96€/$ 12.99 while the Nickel variant has an MSRP of 12.94€/ $ 14.99.
