EVGA Z170 Motherboards – Performance Refined

Never ones to be left behind, EVGA are also launching their own range of motherboards based on Intel's Z170 chipset today. Focusing on gaming, whether it be mainstream gaming configurations or enthusiast-level monstrosities capable of handling Quad-SLI, their Z170 lineup is sure to have something for the meanest of casuals through to the hardest of the hard core.

Intel's Z170 platform is notably more efficient than the previous generation (boasting 22% lower TDP), but still packs a punch when it counts. The first to support PCIe 3.0 from the PCH, it unlocks wider high-performance storage and peripheral options than ever before. With overclockable dual-channel DDR4 you may hit new zeniths of memory bandwidth, whilst standard features such as native SATA 6G aren't left out.

At the top end EVGA's Z170 Classified includes on-board USB 3.1, Creative Core3D Audio, and is capable of up to 4-Way SLI support with NVIDIA's high performance graphics cards. The board layout has been optimised for these new features, and the livery has been updated to reflect this new generation of performance. Other members of the EVGA Z170 lineup cater to diverse requirements, from straightforward gaming with the Z170 FTW, or assembling compact powerhouses with the Z170 Stinger.
