Fanatec, a CORSAIR brand, has announced a major price reduction across its Direct Drive Base portfolio, following continued advances in its direct drive technology and manufacturing efficiency. The move comes shortly after the launch of the new Fanatec Podium DD, which debuted at a significantly lower price than the outgoing Podium Wheel Base DD2.

Depending on the model and region, Fanatec customers can now expect savings of up to 30 percent. The revised pricing applies to standalone Direct Drive Bases as well as a wide range of Ready2Race bundles, making Fanatec’s ecosystem more accessible to both new and existing sim racers.

The price adjustments are largely driven by Fanatec’s transition to a second-generation direct drive architecture, first introduced with CSL DD. This newer platform is more scalable and efficient, delivering consistent high-fidelity force feedback across outputs ranging from 5 Nm up to 25 Nm. Fanatec also highlighted the operational benefits gained through its close integration with CORSAIR, citing improvements in manufacturing, sourcing, and global logistics.
