LONDON, UK – DEC 06, 2011 – andersDX has launched fit-PC3, the latest generation of the award-winning fit-PC family of tiny, robust, fanless, ultra-low-energy compact computers. Now with improved computing power and graphics performance and more standard interfaces than any computer of a similar size, these sleek, rugged and silent PCs are still the most energy-efficient computers in their class.
Available with a choice of Microsoft Windows 7 or Linux, fit-PC3 PCs can offer more functionality than a desktop in sizes down to just 160mm x 160mm x 25mm. Fanless design means totally silent operation while power consumption as low as 7W at idle is just 10% of a desktop equivalent. But that doesn’t mean that performance has been compromised – inside the sleek, tough, die-cast aluminium chassis you’ll find the latest AMD G Fusion processors, up to 8GB of DDR3-1333 memory and a bay for a 2.5” SATA HDD.
And the fit-PC3 leaves the audio-visual capabilities of many desktop PCs in the shade thanks to advanced Radeon HD graphics processors, dual-head display HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces, digital 7.1 S/PDIF connections and input and output analogue 2.0 audio. The top-of-the range fit-PC3 Pro even supports HDMI 1.4 and stereo 3D.
The new fit-PC3 doesn’t disappoint when it comes to connectivity either. Alongside the graphics interfaces, integrated I/O includes Gigabit Ethernet; 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; a minimum of two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 host ports; two eSATA connections; two mini PCIe sockets; a serial RS232 port; and an IR receiver.
