G.Skill are pushing the boundaries of performance yet again with a new kit of RIPJAWS SO-DIMMs designed specifically for very high frequencies within a compact form factor. Spec'd at 2133MHz @ 1.35V, the new low-voltage high capacity DDR3L memory comes in 16GB (2x8GB) kits and is well suited to laptops and small form factor PCs which require high memory bandwidth. Standard timings also appear to be impressive, running at 11-11-11-31.

The new SO-DIMM kit was validated with GIGABYTE's BRIX Pro small form factor PC, utilising an Intel 4th Generation Core i7 4770R engineering sample. Although well suited for Intel Haswell-based systems, the high memory bandwidth would also be a boon to systems utilising AMD's APU solutions.

The official SKU for this memory is F3-2133C11D-16GRSL, and should be available to purchase soon. As yet there is no information on pricing, but we would expect such high speed DIMMS to command a hefty price premium.
