Earlier this December, CORSAIR unveiled the world’s fastest 32GB SO-DIMM kit running at DDR4-4000MHz. G.SKILL now presents its own 32GB SO-DIMM Kit also running at DDR4-4000MHz CL18-18-18-38 32GB (4x8GB) at 1.35V, equally marketed as the world’s fastest DDR4 SO-DIMM kit. The kit is said to be ideal for high-performance gaming notebooks and gaming mini-PCs that can take advantage of the high-frequency and ultra-low timing of the SO-DIMM kit. G.SKILL was able to achieve such high-performance SO-DIMM modules using meticulously hand-binned Samsung B-die DDR4 IC components.
Ultra-Low Timings, High-Performance Memory
With the new DDR4-4000MHz CL18-18-18-38 32GB (4x8GB) SO-DIMM Kit targets the high-performance small form factor PCs such as the latest Intel Core-X Series processors that can be paired with the likes of the ASRock X299E-ITX/ac mini-ITX motherboard that uses DDR4 SO-DIMM memory modules. With that said, the new DDR4-4000MHz CL18-18-18-38 32GB (4x8GB) SO-DIMM Kit was rigorously tested over 6 hours using an Intel Core i9-7900X processor and the ASRock X299E-ITX/ac mini-ITX motherboard. The kit yielded 101106 MB/s bandwidth for read speeds using the AIDA64 benchmark.
