GIGABYTE introduces its first ever M.2 PCIe solid-state drives, the UD PRO M.2 PCIe SSD Series, last September available in 128GB and 256GB capacities. Today, GIGABYTE is adding a 512GB capacity of the SSD giving builders more options of having a larger data storage.

Key Features

Form Factor: M.2 2280
Interface: PCI-Express 3.0 x2, NVMe 1.3
Total Capacity: 512GB
Warranty: Limited 3-years
Sequential Read Speed: up to 1550 MB/s
Sequential Write speed: up to 850 MB/s
HMB (Host Memory Buffer) supported
TRIM & S.M.A.R.T supported

The GIGABYTE UD PRO PCIe M.2 SSDs are offered as an entry-level NVMe SSD using only PCIe Gen 3.0 x2 lanes compared to higher-tier NVMe SSDs like the Samsung 970 EVO that uses PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 lanes. The GIGABYTE UD PRO may only offer half the speed of the faster NVMe SSDs available today, it is still a faster storage solution compared to SATA SSDs. The GIGABYTE UD PRO PCIe M.2 SSDs underwent rigorous testing to pass strict standards to ensure its ‘ultra-durability’. Like most high-quality SSDs, it also supports TRIM and S.M.A.R.T. technologies. The SSD also comes paired with Host Memory Buffer technology and uses TLC NAND Flash to deliver a great price-performance solution.

The GIGABYTE UD PRO M.2 SSDs come with a 3-year warranty and is now available in three capacities: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
