GIGABYTE adds a new PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 2280 solid-state drive to its line-up – the GIGABYTE Gen4 4000E SSD. True to GIGABYTE’s unique naming scheme for its SSD products, the GIGABYTE Gen4 4000E delivers up to 4000 MB/s speeds. The Gen4 4000E SSD doesn’t have DRAM but uses Host Memory Buffer (HMB) which features direct access memory that uses the system’s DRAM instead.

The GIGABYTE Gen4 4000E SSD uses GIGABYTE’s proprietary software, the GIGABYTE SSD Tool Box, for monitoring and SSD-related functions including Secure Erase and others. The GIGABYTE Gen4 4000E SSD is available in 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB capacities.
