GIGABYTE AORUS launches the AORUS OPEN, GIGABYTE’s first official eSports tournament open to six regions worldwide. GIGABYTE is expecting more than a thousand teams to participate in the tournament which features a total prize pool of $45,000 USD. The tournament will commence this summer starting with the Player’s Unknown Battleground (PUBG) tournament that aims to promote the brand’s tagline “Team Up. Fight On!”. Winners from each region will be facing off at the grand finals to be held in France during the Paris Games Week. The AORUS OPEN is made possible in partnership with Intel.

AORUS OPEN PUBG

The competition will be played in the most prevalent battle royal FPS game – PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) in duo FPP format that emphasizes both individual combat skills and teamwork. Regional qualifier round will commence this July wherein teams from China, USA, Germany, Taiwan, Korea and France battle it out to reach the grand finals.
