Signalling a renewed confidence in AMD APUs for the gaming market, GIGABYTE today announced their latest ATX motherboard - the G1.Sniper A88X. Based on the AMD A88X chipset for FM2+, the new enthusiast/gaming motherboard is designed for current A-series Trinity APUs, Richland APUs and the upcoming Kaveri APU due Q1 2014.
The chipset is centered around the FM2+ socket, which follow in the footsteps of previous AMD socket specifications to be compatible with FM2 APUs.
