GIGABYTE launches the new UD Series power supply units featuring 80PLUS Gold certification, compact design, and fully modular cable design. The GIGABYTE UD Series comes in three models, the UD1000GM, UD850GM, and UD750GM, which would replace the problematic P850GM and P750GM which are also 80PLUS Gold certified and fully modular.
The GIGABYTE gives emphasis on the GIGABYTE Ultra Durable product design for the UD Series PSUs, highlighting the use of high-quality main Japanese capacitors, enhanced thermal solution, 120mm smart hydraulic bearing (HYB) fan, and six circuit protection designs. The GIGABYTE UD Series also boasts a powerful single +12V rail and compact design.
The main capacitors are made in Japan with durability over 4X that of conventional capacitors.
Enhanced Thermal Solution
The GIGABYTE UD Series features an enhanced thermal solution with a heat sink 200% larger than the standard solution. With optimizes the airflow, heat dissipation performance is increased by 10%. The life of the 120mm hydraulic bearing fan is 1.4X longer than the standard sleeve bearing. The fan also has a silent operation mode wherein it stops spinning at loads below 20%
The GIGABYTE UD series power supply also has OVP/OPP/SCP/UVP/OCP/OTP circuit protection designs, so that users can use it with peace of mind for a long time.
The GIGABYTE UD series power supplies have passed the 80 PLUS Gold certification, providing more than 90% power efficiency.
Fully Modular Cable Design
The fully modular design only installs the needed cables, making the whole system cleaner and allowing better heat dissipation. The power supply provides several 6+2pin PCIe connectors to support the large-wattage graphics cards. It also provides two 4+4pin CPU connectors to fully support mid- to high-end motherboards.
