Gigabyte set to release new line of 'Gaming Motherboards'

An unofficial Gigabyte blog has made a post earlier this week showing an advertisement for a new line of motherboards. No details are released yet, other than support for Core i7, a price tag starting at $299 (£191) and the name - G1-Killer.

It is very likely that these boards will be unveiled at CES this January, so keep your eyes peeled! The range would appear to be a direct competitor to ASUS' Republic of Gamers brand or MSI's XPower boards. It looks like Gigabyte have finally decided to try and take on this exciting and feature-laden section of the motherboard market.

We recently saw a glimpse of some black-PCB LGA1155 Gigabyte boards - a change from the usual pastels and blue seen across the rest of the ranges. It's likely that these new boards will employ an even more ambitious colour scheme. This is an exciting development in the high-end motherboard market and you can be sure Vortez will have the news as it comes!
