Built around the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, the new series combines modern features with DDR4 memory support, offering gamers and PC builders a cost-effective alternative to upgrading to the AM5 platform.
The B550 X Series pairs the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D with improved power delivery, updated connectivity, and enhanced cooling to maximise the performance of one of AMD's most popular gaming processors while extending the lifespan of the AM4 ecosystem.

The GIGABYTE B550 X Series is equipped for the demands of modern builds, introducing next-generation Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Ultra-wide 160 MHz channels unlock unprecedented wireless speeds, 4K-QAM delivers higher throughput for buffer-free streaming, Multi-Link Operation intelligently allocates bandwidth across bands for a seamless connection, and deterministic low latency keeps gaming and video calls responsive when it matters most.
Robust Power Delivery and Thermal Management
Powering the legend pairing is a 10-phase, 60A DrMOS VRM design that delivers powerful, reliable energy to maximize system capability — providing a rock-solid foundation for the processor and integrated components. Thanks to advanced Driver-MOSFET (DrMOS) technology, B550 X Series can run up to 20°C cooler than general powerPak boards when paired with the 5800X3D. That efficiency is anchored by a redesigned VRM heatsink with 4x the cooling surface area of standard designs, paired with premium 5 W/mK thermal pads for rapid heat dissipation. Dedicated M.2 heatsinks keep high-speed storage running cool and throttle-free, while an UD Base Plate — a full-coverage, one-piece back armor — adds structural rigidity and assists with thermal dissipation.
