GIGABYTE's Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE motherboard has been spotted online - a pimped-up white version of the Z790 AORUS XTREME X motherboard which appears to be a limited edition. Featuring a gold-plated CPU socket bracket and leaked around the first week of April - this would have been flagged as another April Fools' joke but this motherboard seems legit as it gets listed on a French online store for 1,999€ (approximately US$2166 or £1700).
This XTREME-ly pricey motherboard features a crystalized titanium textured heatsink, a limited edition Gold Serial plaque which suggests this motherboard has a limited production number, a gold-plated CPU socket bracket, and what appears to be a waterblock. Like the Z790 AORUS XTREME X motherboard, the Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE also features a display on the left side of the CPU socket that displays real-time system information and other display options. It also comes with a massive passive heatsink for the top-most PCIe M.2 slot that indicates support for the fastest PCIe Gen5 SSDs with an efficient thermal solution.
