A gaming space should always be a haven where you can escape from the troubles of the world, immersing yourself mentally and emotionally in experiences new and familiar. For some gamers the centre of that haven will be the PC itself, a beating heart from which all else flows.
Perhaps it is auspicious then that the PC Gaming Group, a cohort of brands made up of plucky familiar underdogs offering innovation at every turn, have chosen HAVN to be their newest constituent. Debuting at Computex 2024 earlier this year, this emerging manufacturer is finally ready to release their first pair of cases into select markets worldwide.
Much is expected of the HS 420 and HS 420 VGPU by HAVN. They have decades of collective experience to draw from despite their newcomer status, with design team members drawn from the likes of Fractal, Cooler Master, NZXT and Corning. Wider PGG participants who have a long pedigree in designing shipped high performance systems also input expertise at key stages, particularly in the stress testing and QA stages of development.
“We approach our products with the idea that there is no wasted design,” said David Jarlestedt, HAVN Product and Brand Director. “Nothing is frivolous; every aspect of the product has been thought out, tested, and included because it has a specific function. We hope those who buy it will appreciate this kind of meticulous beauty, and the refined performance it brings.”
The product of their labours are two cases offering panoramic views of system interiors without shirking the primary responsibility of a system enclosure: to effectively support air flow to needy components.
The HS 420 and HS 420 VGPU
The core HS 420 chassis structure stands out due to its dual-chambered design within a mid-tower dimensions. Its consequent narrow footprint helps it to remain as a desk-standing assembly, despite full curved glass frontage and triple 420mm radiator mounting points. Key features of this EATX case design include:
- Airflow optimisation via panel ventilation and a plethora of 140mm fans mounting points (11 fan slots in total),
- Support for up to 420mm radiators on the top, bottom, and spine,
- Heat-formed UniSheet glass panel for panoramic view, engineered to be flatter and with a smaller radius to minimise visual distortion,
- SimpliCable routing system and fan hub for clean and discrete organisation of cables, keeping ventilation unobstructed,
- Customisable internal layout fits combinations of storage, fans, radiators, and portable displays up to 14" (VESA mount included),
- Fan brackets have flexible rubber pads to isolate the bracket from the chassis and avoid resonance build-up,
- HS 420 Only: a 3-way adjustable GPU support bracket/mounting arm, designed to handle a wide range of graphics cards and reduce pressure on motherboard x16 slots,
- HS 420 VGPU Only: Vertical GPU Kit which includes both an angled bottom fan bracket assembly with glass airflow guide, and a mount with PCIe 5.0 x16 riser cable,
- 2nd chamber PSU mountain point recessed into the main chamber,
- Magnetic panel mounting with optional screw mounting points for added shipping security,
- Double-layer rear panel allows the placement of round fan holes for a cleaner interior look,
- Both built-in and removable air filtration panels to streamline maintenance.

Recognising that high-end air and water-cooling enthusiasts typically choose their fans with very specific needs in mind, HAVN do not ship any with the HS 420 or HS 420 VGPU. Users are urged to opt for the best that suit their configuration of choice.
