Black Friday has come early at Overclockers UK today as the retailer teams up with AMD to offer some crushing deals on Radeon GPUs alongside mouth-watering game bundles. These offers are hilariously keen when you consider pricing up till now, and well worth a look if you're at all considering a GPU upgrade this autumn. So, without further ado, lets get started.
Radeon RX VEGA 64 Nitro+ 8GB
WAS £499.99 NOW £399.99
The success of Radeon Vega was held back largely by demand inflated prices from cryptocurrency miners, but now they're surely a force to be reckoned with. Available at just £398.99 inc. V.A.T. is this partner Vega 64 with triple-fan cooling from Sapphire, a full £100 off its usual price.
Bundled with the card are three free games: Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, The Division 2. However you won't be able to play them immediately; all three are set to be released in early 2019, so you'll be well prepared with excellent graphics hardware long before then.
Radeon RX VEGA 56 Pulse 8GB
WAS £399.99 NOW £299.99
Stepping down the range a little (but not a lot) is the RX Vega 56 Pulse, and if anything the deal here is even better. This partner variant is again manufactured by Sapphire and features a dual-fan cooler alongside its Vega GPU, and it's available for under £300.
AMD's free game bundle is also available on this card, once again offering pre-launch codes for Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5 and The Division 2. That's a tremendous amount of value at the price.
It doesn't stop there however. A trio of Radeon RX 580 graphics cards join their illustrious siblings with some cracking deals. The Sapphire Radeon RX 590 Nitro+ is a premium variant of the card with exceptional cooling and a hefty factory overclock, and has been reduced to £229.99. Meanwhile GIGABYTE's RX 580 Gaming 8GB comes in a hair under £200. Finally, the Powercolor Radeon RX580 RED DRAGON V2 8GB will tempt you further at only £189.99.
Note that these three cards differ considerably in terms of factory overclock and cooling solution, so consider carefully which you opt for. But rest assured that whichever is in your wheelhouse, it will qualify for a couple of free games: any two of the same Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5 and The Division 2 bundle as the Vega-class GPUs.
But perhaps the RX 580 is still a little out of your range? If so, a final set of deals might be to your taste. OCUK are offering two variants of the Radeon RX 570 at a reduced prices alongside the same free game offer as the RX 580, adding yet more value to a solid 1080p performer.
Sapphires RX 570 Nitro+ 8GB and RX 570 Pulse 8GB utilise very similar cooling solutions, but vary by 60MHz in the maximum Boost frequency. There's not much to choose between the two in price either - the Nitro+ is available at just £169.99, while the Pulse is a trim £158.99. Either might be ideal for a more affordable build, especially for family members assembling their first budget gaming system.
As AMD Radeon GPUs, you also have to keep in mind that each of the cards above support AMD FreeSync 2 monitor technology. FreeSync technology matches the refresh rate of your monitor to the frame rate output by the GPU, bringing with it tear-free and stutter-free gaming that's a great experience over V-SYNC and un-synced refresh rates.
FreeSync monitors are already competitively priced, and at any resolution would make an ideal companion to a new AMD GPU. If you're saving with these deals and putting the money towards additional upgrades, definitely consider the extensive range of FreeSync monitors on the market today.
Overclockers UK will be running deals on components throughout the Black Friday sales period, so keep your eyes peeled for more offers coming very soon indeed.
