HWBOT Kicks Off Team Cup 2017 Overclocking Contest

HWBOT’s Team Cup 2017 kicks off this July 1st up until the 30th of September, 2017. It is the ultimate overclocking event as teams from different countries battle it out to be the top-performing team of overclockers. Join the world's best overclocking teams and see which team represents the most talented and most skilled team of professional overclockers for this year.

Aside from the massive participation of professional and novice overclockers from all over the world, there’s also an abundance of prizes up for grabs from sponsors including G.SKILL, GIGABYTE, Seasonic and Thermal Grizzly. HWBOT is also adding 7 Intel Core i7 Kaby Lake processors into the prize pool.

The HWBOT Team Cup 2017 consists of four subcategories with twenty four unique stages and a target submission count of 64. This contest is the largest annual team overclocking event in the world. Overclockers will be challenged to use an assortment of hardware from the latest Intel Skylake, AMD Ryzen, Radeon Polaris and NVIDIA Pascal-based hardware. There are also stages for classic and mobile platforms as well.

HWBOT Team Cup 2017 Overview
HWBOT Team Cup 2017 contest is divided into four subcategories; 2D, 3D, Misc 1 and Misc 2. Each of these contain six stages. Each stage involves a specific benchmark, a specific hardware requirement and a specific number of submissions. If for example, a 2D stage requires three submissions, which means you need three team members to each make a submission using a different CPU. Here’s a breakdown of the details for each stage.
