Intel Launches Intel Core Series 3 Processors: Changing the Game for Everyday Computing

Intel has announced its new Intel Core Series 3 mobile processors, targeting value-focused laptops, commercial systems, and essential edge devices. Built on the same foundations as the Core Ultra Series 3 architecture and manufactured using Intel’s 18A process node, the new lineup aims to deliver balanced performance, efficiency, and AI capabilities for everyday computing.

Designed for students, families, and small businesses, Intel Core Series 3 processors will power over 70 systems from major OEM partners. These processors focus on practical improvements, including enhanced battery life, modern connectivity, and AI-ready performance across a wide range of devices and form factors.


Key Features and Specifications
• Hybrid AI-ready architecture with up to 40 platform TOPS for AI workloads
• Manufactured on Intel 18A process node technology
• Up to 47% faster single-thread performance and 41% improved multi-thread performance versus five-year-old systems
• Up to 2.8x improvement in GPU AI performance compared to older platforms
• Support for up to two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7 (R2), and Bluetooth 6
• Up to 2.1x faster productivity and creation performance compared to previous-generation Core 7 150U processors
• Up to 64% lower processor power consumption
• Designed for all-day battery life

Beyond laptops, Intel Core Series 3 processors are also aimed at edge computing applications, including robotics, smart buildings, point-of-sale systems, and smart metering. The platform scales from entry-level compute to higher-performance configurations with integrated AI acceleration for tasks such as vision and speech processing.

Intel also highlights competitive gains in edge workloads, with the Core 7 350 reportedly delivering higher performance in object detection, image classification, and video analytics compared to competing embedded solutions.

Initial Systems and Availability
Systems powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors are rolling out from OEM partners starting 16 April 2026, with broader availability expected throughout the year. Edge platforms are scheduled to follow from Q2 2026.

• Acer: Aspire Go 14, Aspire Go 15, Aspire Go 16
• ASUS: Vivobook 14/15/17, Vivobook S14/S16, ExpertBook B-series and P-series models
• Dell Technologies: Upcoming systems to be announced
• HP: Omnibook 5 14
• Lenovo: ThinkBook, ThinkPad E series, IdeaPad Slim series, IdeaCentre AIO 3i, ThinkCentre neoMi
• MSI: Modern 14S, Modern 16S
• Additional partners include Colorful, Haier, Honor, Infinix, Samsung, Tecno, and others
