Intel launches Sandy Bridge 3 days early

CES 2011 hasn't yet started and already Intel has decided to pull the cover off their newest set of products - Intel Sandy Bridge. The release date was intended for the start of CES - 6th January. This new launch includes 2nd generation Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. Totalling some 20 products, Sandy Bridge which is also named Intel 6 Series uses the LGA155 socket. Intel has promised that the new IGP will deliver some great performance gains. Not only this but improved video transcoding and energy power savings can also be had.
