The press has been all over SHIELD ecosystem this week, prompted mainly by Nvidia's announcement of the SHIELD home console at GDC. However with the console version not due for release for a couple of months it would be a disservice to overlook the current SHIELD lineup, and Nvidia have a new bundle offer to make absolutely sure you won't.

Powered by the Tegra K1 chipset and now upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop, the SHIELD Tablet is the premier gaming tablet available today. Packed to the gills with the tech which made Nvidia's GeForce 600-series GPUs market leaders, it supports true classic gaming titles natively (in the case of Half Life 2), through GAMESTREAM (with compatible Nvidia-powered PC), and via the Nvidia GRID streaming service. Plus, coupled with a 1900x1200 touch-screen interface, it's also a high-quality tablet to use whilst out and about.

Making the SHIELD Tablet even more tempting this month is the introduction of the Ultimate Bundle. First up comes the SHIELD Tablet 32GB LTE, the premium model of Nvidia's Tegra K1-power SHIELD devices. If you purchase this tablet before 31st March you'll also receive both SHIELD Controller and SHIELD tablet cover for free, which would normally cost an additional £75 premium. Furthermore you'll also qualify for the Green Box Game Bundle, including SHIELD-native versions of Half Life 2, HL2: Episode 1 and Portal, free of charge. You can now start gaming in style right out of the box.

Nvidia's 16GB SHIELD Tablet isn't left out either. The more affordable SHIELD model's version of the Ultimate Bundle comes equipped with a SHIELD controller (£50 MSRP) and the Green Box Gaming Bundle, perhaps making it the choice of the more discerning mobile gamer. Note that this 16GB version doesn't support 4G/LTE.

Running from the 4th to the 31st of March, the SHIELD Ultimate Bundle is available from selected retailers priced at £199.99 for the 16GB SHIELD Tablet and £299 for the 32GB 4G/LTE SHIELD Tablet. For more information visit, where you can also find a list of retailers supporting this offer.
