Last week we brought you some information of the upcoming Intel 8 series motherboards that ASRock are working on. There were still some details that were flagged as 'Coming Soon' but one of these has now been revealed.

802.11ac WiFi is a new wireless computer technology that provides high-throughput wireless local area networks on the 5Ghz band with data transferring speeds of up to 867Mbps.

Utilising the 5Ghz band is a great idea as the 2.4Ghz band is currently used as industry standard and therefore the majority of wireless devices use it. This can cause interference from devices such as wireless keyboards and/or mice, cordless telephones and even the humble microwave oven.

ASRock is stating that some models of the 8 series boards come with a free bundled Wi-SD front tray which includes 4 USB 3.0 ports and an SD 3.0 card slot.

Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
