Intel launched the i7-8086K processor in celebration of Intel’s 40th anniversary since the launch of the first 8086 processor. The i7-8086K sports 6 cores and 12 threads with a base clock of 4.0GHz and maximum turbo boost clock of 5.0GHz. World-renowned overclocker, der8bauer, delidded and overclocked one of the i7-8086K to 7244MHz as well as confirming that the said processor is also the i7-8700K. It is basically a binned i7-8700K processor.
