MSI AMD Motherboards Ready To Support Latest Ryzen 5000/4000 Series CPUs

MSI announces support to the recently released AMD Ryzen 5000/4000 series processors. The latest AMD Ryzen “Zen 3” and “Zen 2” processors are coming to the market very soon for DIY users, which includes the ground-breaking AMD 3D V-Cache technology processor, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Also, the mainstream Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600, Ryzen 5 5500, Ryzen 5 4600G, Ryzen 5 4500, and Ryzen 3 4100 are also coming in stores very soon.

With that in mind, MSI releases the AMD AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.6c beta BIOS update for the MSI AMD 500-, 400- and 300-Series Motherboards to comprehensively support the latest AMD Ryzen 5000/4000 Series processors.




The latest AMD AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.6c BIOS was released for some MSI 500- and 400-series motherboards which provides better compatibility and performance for the AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800X3D processor. For the older 300-series motherboards, MSI will release the AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.6c beta BIOS by the end of April.

Download and install the latest BIOS using M-Flash or BIOS Flashback to update affected models. Download the latest BIOS from MSI.com corresponding product pages.

AMD X370, B350, and A320 motherboards do not support Ryzen 5 5500 processors for now, please refer to AMD's official announcement for information regarding the support of AM4 socket processors.
