MSI Releases New AGESA BIOS Update for Ryzen 9000 Series Adding 105W TDP Option

MSI is excited to announce the upcoming AMD AGESA BIOS PI 1.2.0.1 update, designed to enhance power delivery performance for the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X processors on MSI 600 Series motherboards. This new BIOS will include an option that allows users to increase the original CPU TDP to 105W on these two Ryzen processors, providing an extra boost in performance.


BIOS: New TDP to 105W option


With this new feature allowing the TDP of the new Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X processors to be increased to 105W, as seen in the picture below, performance gains approximately 13% compared to the original 65W TDP.

The first batch of BIOS updates will be available for the following models:
