MSI releases new GTX 1060 3G graphics card models deemed to be the most affordable Pascal-powered cards. These new models only has half the memory compared to the older editions of GTX 1060 that has 6GB of memory. The MSI GTX 1060 3G graphics cards will still feature the TWIN FROZR VI thermal design just like the 6G versions, still to allow higher core clocks and higher stock memory frequencies for enhanced performance in gaming.

TWIN FROZR VI Thermal Design

The new thermal design makes use of MSI's patented and now upgraded MSI TORX fan technology, the TORX 2.0. This technology enables the fan to generate 22% more air pressure while decreasing noise produced during operation. Along with the 8mm heat pipes and solid nickel-plated copper baseplate, TWIN FROZR VI promises exceptional cooling performance. Two models the features the TWIN FROZR VI are the MSI GTX 1060 GAMING X 3G and GTX 1060 GAMING 3G.

ARMOR

Along with the new models are two MSI GeForce GTX 1060 ARMOR 3G series models, the GTX 1060 ARMOR 3G OCV1 and GTX 1060 ARMOR 3GV1. The ARMOR models uses the TWIN FROZR V thermal design with a special layout with outputs of two HDMI ports, two DisplayPorts and one DVI port.

Entry-Level Dual Fan Design

MSI also added an entry-level GTX 1060 3G variant, the MSI GTX 1060 3GT OC having a dual fan design with a black and white color theme. The model uses MSI's Military Class 4 components with 9mm fans for cooling.
