MSI revived the CYCLONE Series graphics card with the new MSI GeForce RTX 4060 CYCLONE 8G OC. Surprisingly, the previous CYCLONE model is an equivalent back in the GTX 400 Series – the MSI N460GTX Cyclone 1GD5 that uses a GeForce GTX 460 GPU. The new MSI GeForce RTX 4060 CYCLONE 8G OC uses a very similar cooler design to its predecessor except for the added backplate.
The MSI GeForce RTX 4060 CYCLONE 8G OC appears to be devoid of any RGB lighting. For aesthetics, the graphics card features a gold and black colour.
The GeForce RTX 4060 CYCLONE 8G OC’s thermal solution is a combination of an extruded aluminium heatsink core with two direct-contact copper heat pipes that extend over to a fin stack. The graphics card’s cooler uses a single fan. The compact graphics card is only 42mm thick and 163mm long.
