MSI Takes X299 to a Smaller Form Factor: X299M GAMING PRO CARBON AC

MSI introduces its micro-ATX Intel X299-chipset based motherboard offering – the X299M GAMING PRO CARBON AC. It’s a full Socket LGA 2066 motherboard with quad-channel DDR4 support and support to up to 44 PCIe lanes. It also feature support for the upcoming 12-, 14-, 16- and 18-core Intel Core X processors. Even with a smaller form factor, the X299M GAMING PRO CARBON AC still packs two TURBO M.2 slots with M.2 SHIELD that supports Intel Optane Memory.

Smaller But Feature-Packed
The X299M GAMING PRO CARBON AC adapts the same styling and premium features of its bigger ATX version making it powerhouse X299 motherboard in the mATX form factor. Aside from the no compromise PCIe lanes and twin M.2 slots, it also packs dual Intel LAN with Wi-Fi. For high-performance tweaking and overclocking, it is built on a DigitALL power design and comes equipped with a 10 phase DrMOS PWM (8+1+1), Loadline Calibration and Turbo Socket. It also packs a dedicated VR BOOST chip for VR gaming optimization and easy setup.

Lighting and Custom Aesthetics
Like most MSI Gaming Series motherboards, the X299M GAMING PRO CARBON AC also support MSI Mystic Light Sync with 16.8 million colour options along with 17 LED lighting effects. New to MSI, the motherboard also features the X-MOUNTING accessory kits created through 3D printing. Users can replace the I/O cover to fit your colour theme.

Ultra-Fast Storage
The motherboard features TWIN TURBO M.2 delivers PCI-E Gen3 x4 performance with transfer speeds up to 64 Gb/s for the latest SSDs. Powered by ASMedia 3142 USB 3.1 controller, the motherboard packs LIGHTNING USB 3.1 GEN2 offering improved performance and higher energy efficiency, consuming 50% less energy than previous solutions.
