Not content with top of the line G-series gaming laptops, MSI now appear to be bringing their Dragon brand to the PC component arena. Details are sparse but the tease above shows a pair of Dragon RAM DIMMs - custom heatspreaders, LEDs and all - house within a GAMING range motherboard. We can also expect it to match the rest of the lines' high performance characteristics, complementing uncommon looks with an enhanced in-game experience.
MSI's Dragon branding is a particularly large tent that has to a certain extent got a little confused over the past year. Almost every product they release for the performance and enthusiast sector, including MPOWER XPOWER and GAMING devices, are part of this Dragon line but aside from the logo you would hardly know it. As a result those SKU names, especially GAMING as in the recently in the GTX 780 Ti GAMING reviewed earlier this week, may resonate more and leave MSI with something of an up-hill struggle in terms of brand recognition.
Anyway, being partial PC internals that look not quite run-of-the-mill, we can't wait to see these new DIMMS in the flesh. Keep your eyes fixed on MSI UK's Facebook page for more updates.
