Mushkin announces the new Source Series solid-state drives offering performance with a cost-effective design that’s suitable for a wide variety of applications. The Mushkin Source SSDs offer a great balance of capacity, value, and performance. The Mushkin Source SSDs deliver all the must-have features that are expected of solid-state drives without the hefty price tag.

The Mushkin Source Series SSDs are ideal for mainstream computing such as gaming desktops, ultrabooks, 2-in-1 PCs, mini PCs, small-form-factor computing and others. The Source SSDs are offered in 2.5-inch form-factor and the compact M.2 2280 form-factor. The Source solid-state drives use the Silicon Motion SM2258XT controller delivering speeds of up to 560MB/s sequential read and 520MB/s sequential write. The Source SSDs are also protected by the Mushkin Enhanced Data-protection Suite (M.E.D.S.) that ensures data protection and reliability of the flash storage drive.

The 120GB, 240GB and 500GB comes with an MSRP of $39.99, $64.99 and $114.99 respectively. The 1TB variant and the M.2 form-factor counterparts will be available by April 2018.
