Late last month we reported on the news that Intel were planning on releasing a selection of new Coffee Lake desktop CPUs in the not too distant future. Well it looks like that time is almost upon us as the seven new CPUs have begun to be listed for sale by niche US etailers Provantage, ConnectionIT and Compsource with some indicated to be 'in stock'.
Included among the new CPUs are two 6-core Core i5 models, a quad-core i3, and five budget oriented chips with the Pentium Gold and Silver branding. Interestingly the website pricing is considerably below prior price guidance, but is potentially not indicative of mainstream retail MSRP.
It's expected that these CPUs will be available to consumers alongside more appropriate, affordable motherboard using the Intel B360 and H370 chipsets. Intel Z390 motherboards, complete with an updated Coffee Lake PCH, likely won't appear ntil the summer.
