Noctua introduces the successors of the award-winning NH-L9a and NH-L12 – the NH-L12S and NH-L9a-AM4 low-profile coolers supporting AMD’s latest mainstream desktop platform AM4. Both coolers are designed for compact HTPC and small form factor cases that offer the minimum clearance for CPU coolers.

Noctua NH-L9a-AM4

The NH-L9a-AM4 is exclusively for the AM4 socket which stands at only 37mm making it the most compact Noctua AM4 cooler. With its small footprint, it offers 100% memory and PCIe compatibility even for mini-ITX motherboards. It features Noctua’s custom-designed SecuFirm2 mounting system for the AM4 socket for a safe and easy installation. It is paired with a highly optimised NF-A9x14 92mm fan that supports fully automatic speed control via PWM and runs remarkably quiet.

Noctua NH-L12S

It is the S-Version of the NH-L12 cooler with AM4 socket support. To keep it low-profile and efficient in cooling, it packs an NF-A12x15 PWM slim 120mm fan which is larger compared to the NH-L12’s 92mm cooling fan. With the cooler in place, it is compatible with memory modules of up to 45mm tall. It also features the SecuFirm2 mounting system offering easy and safe installation in all supported sockets.
