Nvidia Release GeForce Game Ready Driver 350.12 WHQL for GTA V

Nvidia have a policy of releasing driver updates in time for major AAA releases, with the intention of providing the best possible Day-1 performance to users of their GPUs. Once again they're following through, this time by releasing of the GeForce 350.12 WHQL driver package just ahead of Grand Theft Auto 5's PC launch tomorrow morning, as well as in time for the worldwide launch of their GTX Titan X GPU.

The package, downloadable as a standalone executable via geforce.com/drivers or automatically through the GeForce Experience desktop app., includes SLI profiles for GTA 5 as well as new game- and configuration-specific optimisation options. The release notes are as follows:

Improved 5K 3K Monitor Support

Added user interface prompts for when a configuration is not supported.

250 DPI Support

Enabled the NVIDIA Control Panel to support 250 dpi, which is needed for Windows 8.1 and tiled displays.

NVFBC SLI Performance Improvements

Improved gameplay performance on full-screen SLI configurations when NVIDIA frame buffer capture using Shadowplay or GameStream is enabled on 4K or 5K displays.

OpenCL 1.2

Added support for OpenCL 1.2. The OpenCL 1.2 drivers are based on the published Khronos Specification and are expected to pass the Khronos Conformance Testing Process. Current conformance status can be found at www.khronos.org/conformance.
