Labelled as the "graphics card eject bug", the latest release of NVIDIA's GeForce Game Ready Drivers '361.75' has allowed the graphics card to appear as a removal device in the system tray. The issue was apparently caused by the Thunderbolt 3 interface integration.

Needless to say, the bug has caused issues for users when un-mounting/ removing unmountable devices which in turn, would cause the display driver to unload.
The driver update is available on NVIDIA's Support site & is available for Windows 7, 8 & 10.
