If you're still on the fence about Overwatch, Blizzard's first new IP in 10 years, you may be pleased to know that the Open Access Beta has been extended. Rather than ending today (May 9th), the official end to the beta will come at 10am PDT on May 10th (or 6pm in the UK if you're so inclined geographically). This extension applies to all platforms and regions.

We hope everyone has been enjoying the Overwatch Open Beta. We certainly have! We've loved being able to play alongside you on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Over the last week, we've also had the opportunity to listen to your thoughts and opinions on the game; make improvements based on your reports in these very forums; and collect invaluable data just from you playing normally.

We couldn't be more grateful. So, as a small way of saying "thank you" to our community and the millions of players who've logged in so far, we will be extending the Open Beta by 1 day on all platforms. This means the beta will now conclude on May 10 at 10:00 a.m. PDT in all regions.

Enjoy the 24 hours of overtime, and we hope to see you again May 24!

- The Overwatch Team

Overwatch officially launches on May 24th/25th, and is available on PC and next-generation consoles. The basic PC version is priced at around ~$40 MSRP (~£25), whilst a 'Origin Edition' is priced at $60 and includes three exclusive character skins. All account progress made during the Beta will be wiped prior to the game's release, so all players will begin on an equal footing.
