Patriot Memory introduces its newest performance SSD line at CES 2018, the Patriot EVLVR Thunderbolt 3 portable solid-state drive. The Patriot EVLVR Thunderbolt 3 SSD outperforms portable SSD devices by 3 times, thanks to the superior speed delivery of Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. The Patriot EVLVR sports the Phison E8 PCIe controller and Toshiba's 64-layer BiCS3 3D TLC. The drive offers speed of up to 1500MB/s sequential read and up to 1000MB/s sequential write speeds. Thunderbolt 3 brings Thunderbolt to USB-C at speeds up to 40 Gb/s, transferring high-resolution content will certainly be a breeze.

The name “EVLVR” is an abbreviation for “evolver”, and the technology itself presents a major evolution in SSD technology. Patriot believes Thunderbolt 3 devices will become a mainstream and will be readily available in the market in the coming years. With that, Patriot aims to be one of the pioneers in offering high-performance and power efficient Thunderbolt 3 external SSDs.
