Patriot has announced the expansion of its Viper 4 and Viper Elite lines of DDR4 memory today. Patriot has bolstered its high-end offerings with these two new 3733MHz offerings that, according to Patriot, are designed to run best with Intel’s top X99 and 100 series motherboards.
These new Viper 4 and Viper Elite kits are the fastest that Patriot has ever produced, and they are clearly designed for performance in higher end systems. They are clocked at 3733MHz and boast a 17-19-19-39 timing. Both kits pull 1.35V of power and are fully compatible with XMP 2.0. Given, these aren’t clocked as high as some of G.Skill and Corsair’s more extreme offerings, but they do come in with a lower latency.
Patriot is offering both the Viper 4 and Viper Elite in 16GB(2x8GB) kits that it states will be available via retail channels on the third of August. Patriot has announced an MSRP of $159.99 US for each kit. Since many other more enthusiast grade memory kits only come in 8GB(2x4GB) kits for nearly the same price as these 16GB Patriot ones, the Viper 4 and Viper Elite may be among the best value available.
